Prawn Curry

  1. Ingredients
- 1 Lb Prawn
- 4 Red potato Potato
- 0.5 Tsp Coriander Seeds
- 1.5 tsp (whole) Cumin Seed Powder
- 1 Tsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 Tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 Small Tomato
- 1 Medium Onion
- 0.5 Inch piece Ginger
- 2 pods Garlic
-  To Taste Salt
- 3 Tbsp Cooking Oil
- 2 Whole Cardamom
- 0.25 Inch Cinnamon
- 4 Whole Cloves
- 3  Green Chili
- 2 Cups Water
Instructions
1. Take large size prawns without head. Wash and devein. Add salt and 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder and mix well.

2. Wash and peel skin of potatoes with a peeler. Cut into four pieces. Add salt and 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder and mix.

3. Grind to a paste coriander, cumin seeds, red chili, green chili and ginger adding about two table-spoon of water.

4. Heat oil and fry the potatoes till light brown. Remove the potatoes and add the prawns and fry lightly and remove.

5. Chop onion and garlic finely. Chop tomato. Coarsely grind cardamom, cinnamon and cloves in a mortar and pestle. Warm two cups of water in microwave oven for two minutes.

6. Heat oil. Add onion and garlic till light brown. Add the ground masala paste and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes with occasional stirring. Add the chopped tomato and a little water if necessary and continue frying for a few minutes. Add prawn and potatoes and cook for about 2 minutes with stirring. Add two cups of hot water and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about ten minutes till done. Add the coarsely ground spices and remove.

7. Serve hot with rice
